He's right. We play home to 3,4,6 and 7. Away to 1,5 and 8.

Thats correct, looking at it I don't think anyone team will win all there games.

On that basis we could definite be top 4 and possibly get 2nd place on 3 home wins and 1 away win, but we would have to beat Wigan and Huddersfield for them to play catch up.

Warrington did us a favour, bottom 4 teams would have to win at least 6 out of 7, interesting scenario's for August.

Also I should imagine the current top 4 will start and finish the 8's with a home game. (Home-Away-Home-Away-Home -Away-Home)

Finishing top 2 is massive for us now. Wigan are woeful away from home so finishing above them could prove vital in getting to Old Trafford.

I don't think Cats away is a fair reward for where we are. Even Hull has them at home..... but that's the formula so no point moaning.

The only advantage from finishing in top four is the extra home game.

Depends when we play them, if its at the back end of the fixtures they could be in the position where they can't qualify for top 4, if that scenario pops up they might put the "cue on the rack" for the season. This could happen with all the bottom 4 teams, once the fixture dates comes up we can see the scenario variants.

I think we should make top four now. We 6 points ahead of cas and 8 points ahead of Warrington. We'd have to have a awful run in super 8s not to make top four and Cas and Warrington would need to win nearly all their games.

That and the points we've already amassed obviously. It's up to those in 5th-8th to catch us now so it's not like the first 23 games have been for nothing.

Yes and I think we have amassed enough points with few more wins to make the semis now. I think the format is pretty good. It does keep every game a must win for every single team.

Look at the middle 8s today, it was last game of the season and Widnes, salford and hull KR battling out to finish 9th and 10th for those extra home games. In years gone by it would have been a nothing game.
