They're right though. Rush does sound monotone and boring. If he speaks more than a couple of sentences, I drift off.

Mind you, I can't stand to listen to Wane even for two sentences. My ears start to bleed.

All that crap he spouts that he's not happy when they just 40 points on a team is all for effect and the chompers all get sucked in.

I think it's less about Rush being monotone, and more about how arrogant and aloof he is in interviews.

I've seen him interviewed about four times, and each time, he's smirked at the interviewer, rolled his eyes and given sarcastic answers to questions. Not the way for a professional Super League coach (even if he is only filling in for the time being) to conduct himself. He just is not likeable.

Yes, we know Wane talks with a Wigan accent, and broad Wigan accents make people sound thick - I'm the first to admit that, especially when people speak lazily. But listen to what he says and how he says it. Wane conveys passion, whereas Rush conveys the attitude of a big soft baby.
