But is Long on form? He certainly wasn't before his injury. What's to say he is now? And is it wise to play someone straight back from injury in a knock out comp? He'll likely be rusty [iand[/i not on form!
Besides, I don't think for one minute he's fit. Not after breaking his jaw. It's just hopeful speculation IMO.
I don't think Eastmond will hack it in the semi (I don't think he's ready yet) without Pryce stepping up but there's no reason for me to believe that Pryce won't step up. So I suppose I'd go with playing Eastmond and if we get through to the final then Long can have his day at Wembley. He should be fit by then, and hopefully on form!
As for putting Long on the bench (or Eastmond), that's a waste of a bench spot. Hudds are a huge pack. We need pack men on the bench, even if we have to drag them screaming from the reserves!
Whatever Potter decides, I think it's going to be an uphill battle for us to beat Hudds with their size, their defence, our lack of attacking guile and our depleted squad.
