Ryan Hampshire to sign for Leeds Rhinos. Lets see if what im told becomes true.

I was told Hampshire was coming to Leeds last season. He didn't, mind.

Signings dont normally happen between big clubs, just ask William Eve.

Maybe Leeds arent deemed a big club anymore though after this season

Ryan Hampshire's no more a full-back than Jamie Peacock was.

He's been a victim of unfortunate timing at Wigan and subsequently with his move to Cas that he's had in form half-backs ahead of him keeping him out of the side. There's a good player lurking in there if he gets a run of games in his preferred position, certainly a better all-round half-back than Brierley IMO.

But is he a better half back option than Golding?

Hampshire is contracted to Wigan until the end of 2018. Would Leeds be willing to pay the required transfer fee?

Hampshire had a decent run at 6 for us with roberts missing for 11 games. Played 5 or 6 in halves and rest at full back. Was much better at full back seems to lack the creativity to play at 6

Would Wigan be prepared to keep paying a player they've clearly deemed as surplus to requirements?

Maybe they don't see him as surplus to requirements, just saying like.

Why would they have given him a 3 year contract extension, sent him out on loan to a Superleague Club to gain experience, if he was surplus to requirements?
