Expect Bill Arthur to get promoted to the main commentary gig. Someone else (probably Angela Powers) will get the tunnel/benches comments. Clarke will get the main summariser role alongside Bill Arthur, with McDermott and O'Connor.

Hemmings does a reasonable job as main presenter , certainly bigs the sport up at every opportunity . Stephenson however , has become increasingly tiresome with his commentary , sky sports own version of Ray French .

McDermott and O'Connor are just plain awful .

Wells and Carney are informative and enthusiastic without been too critical .

Sinny & JP is the winning combination.

Have to disagree about Hemmings. He doesn't just big it up, he totally overhypes everything and is predictably repetitive. I find this, alongside his complete lack of comprehension of the game pretty tedious.

Would prefer Wells to comment alongside whoever gets the main job. He is, IMO, by far the quickest and most insightful analyst on the Sky team.

Carney/Wells have to get the main gig surely, informative, know the game, don't sensationalise and just call it.

Vossy and Noble would be my preffered option calling the game, with Carney and Wells doing the studio stuff.

Wells should get Stevo's job. But it's going to be Clarke and it's going to be even worst.

Please let this be f***ing true. It will without doubt be the best thing to happen to Rugby League since I have been watching the game at least. The commentary has gone beyond cringe-worthy. It went past that years ago, now its just special, like we are doing our part for the community.

Wells might be up to the commentators gig - although there's a world of difference between live commentary and analysis. Should a vacancy arise for an analyst, I'd suggest Ellery Hanley. I recently watched him interviewing Frank Bruno as part of the Sporting Heroes series and can only say that he approaches broadcasting in the same way as he did playing - i.e. professionally. He'd be very good.
