Apparently a Fax fan had a go at Ged Corcorans mum last night. I pity the fool if they are ever found.

No but some Sheffield fan was quite upset at the end of the game, seemed to want to fight everybody, stewards went up and had a word from what I could see

Apparently some guy was sat behind Geds mum and was effing and blinding and slagging off Ged and Joe Hurst for being ex Fax players. Slagging Ged and Joe off for being ex players is just part of being ex players sadly, but it was al the swearing etc she was seriously offended by.

Agreed! The banter about ex players is fine providing its not too offensive but abusing the players parents is a step too far. Whoever it is deserves everything they get IMO.

Didnt see or hear any of this but I hope the people responsible are caught and punished acordingly.

I was fuming too with the Sheffield fan booing everytime Worrincy touched the ball.

I agree. I heard a damn site more booing when Warrancy had the ball than anyone else. I also didn't know GC or JH were playing.

I think you have to accept though that it's a mans sport and you are going to hear some swearing. We had a women sat in front of us who complained about kids burping and it nearly caused a mini riot.

Any talk of GC sorting anyone out though, and people getting what they deserve is laughable.

Think all parties should grow up a bit.

So accepting that its a mans sport gives someone the right to abuse a players mother then? Wrong! If GC wants to sort someone out thats his affair but this is not acceptable in RL and i personally wouldnt stand around and watch it happen!

Sorry, I missed the bit that said Ged's mum was abused. I thought I'd read that Ged was boo'd and Mrs Ged took exception to some swearing.

I wouldn't have boo'd but I might have sworn at times during the game. Find me a fax fan who didn't swear at some point during thar game and there's a pint on me.

Well I guess that is different then. That wasn't clear in the earlier post.

I don't really understand why someone would aim abuse at someone who's only reason for getting abuse was that they were the mother of an ex player.
