Some things seem to remain constant in Super League.
Hull FC are the perennial under achievers, Leeds season comes alive in the play-offs where as Warrington’s goes to pot, and then there are the trials and tribulations of the London Broncos.
Once more the talk about the Capital’s only professional Rugby League club has been unsurprisingly negative given the precarious position they have found themselves in over the close season.
One in which their very existence was threatened like never before with no home ground or training facility to use, a threadbare playing roster and back room staff.

A Jamie Soward-inspired London Broncos side overcame a 16 point deficit to beat Hull KR 34-22 at MS3 Craven Park.
The Robins raced into a 16-0 lead with tries from Josh Guzdek, Craig Hall and Omari Caro but gave away two soft tries before the break.
Inspired by Jamie Soward, making his final appearance for the Broncos before linking up with the Penrith Panthers, and Mason Caton-Brown who scored a hat-trick London ran out as deserved winners and avoid the wooden spoon finishing ahead of Salford City Reds at the bottom of the table.

LONDON'S heavy loss on Saturday led to a reader contacting me about one of my favourite hobby horses - an English team in the NRL.
But this reader, whose given name was Leigh of Dallas (?) came at the idea from an interesting angle.
What are the drawbacks of an NRL franchises based in Leeds or Manchester? That it would completely overshadow Super League and effectively relegate it to what the Brisbane comp has become.

London's full time status was the telling factor in their 29-10 victory over the Sheffield Eagles to end the hosts' 12 month unbeaten streak at the Don Valley Stadium.
The contrasting game plans of both sides were clear throughout the match.
London attempted to make the most of their size advantage to pound the part time Eagles into submission.
The hosts, meanwhile, attempted to win the contest through a willingness to move the ball that has made them one of the nation's most exciting teams to watch.

Wildcats skipper, Danny Kirmond scored a hatrick to help his side past an understrength London team.
The Broncos were missing eleven first team players and were 30-4 down by the break.
But in-form winger, Kieran Dixon scored a quick-fire double to lesser the deficit to 16 points however Kirmond’s third and tries from Frankie Mariano and Kyle Wood made the full-time score 46-14.
