Uate still has some good footy in him, but has a real personality clash with Brown.
Uate is a shy, introverted guy who needs a lot of encouragement, and Gidley knows how to get him going.
Brown doesn't.

I watch a fair bit of NRL and I wouldn't take Uate. He's done little to impress the last few seasons.
